CHAMBER FOUNDATION

Our Mission
Build a highly qualified workforce through innovative collaborations with K-12 education and the workforce training and preparation system.

Basic Information
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization supported by tax-deductible contributions. Each program division is steered by a committee of business leaders.

Program Divisions:

New Jersey Business Leadership Network (NJBLN)	Improving employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Founded AccessibleEmployment.org. Disability Mentoring Day (October). Host conference with K-12 special needs teachers.
Opportunity for participation: - Join NJBLN. - Host disabled students for Disability Mentoring Day. - Attend conferences. - Contribute to support programs. - Post job opportunities on AccessibleEmployment.org.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation New Jersey Nursing Initiative	To Be Announced in December, 2007.
Opportunity for participation: - Participate in legislative advocacy campaign.
Business Coalition for Educational Excellence (BCEE)	Invests in schools with Just for the Kids New Jersey, a national online database of school performance. Invests in teachers with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Campaign. Invests in students with LearnDoEarn.org. About to launch effort to rescue failing urban schools.
Opportunity for participation: - Join BCEE. - Contribute to support programs. - Attend conferences. - Participate in advocacy efforts for urban reform project.
LearnDoEarn National Student Credentialing System	Powerful suite of web-based programs encouraging middle and high school students to make the best possible academic, behavioral, and career decisions. Uses motivational presentations, classroom posters, virtual corporate field trips, other activities. National focus: teachers registered from 25 states; 190,000 hits per week. Pilot results include 250% increase enrollment in Physics classes, 220% increase enrollment in Economics, 8 – 33% in key math/science courses.
