Honors Societies-Bloomfield CollegeThe honors students and the campus honors societies at Bloomfield College collected new, warm pajamas and children’s books to donate to the Pajama Program for children affected and displaced by Hurricane Sandy.

This group of students recognized that children are traumatized during a natural disaster and that having new and warm PJs and bedtime stories might help them chase away the fears of such an event.

They collected more than 90 sets of PJs and 100 books in two weeks by appealing to the campus community and using social networks on the Internet. Ninety children now have warm PJs and new bedtime stories to call their own and keep them warm at night.
