Rebuild the Jersey Shore began on Facebook through the efforts of 23-year-old Joe Driscoll to inform the public about volunteer opportunities. His Facebook page gained more than 70,000 followers. Joe established Rebuild the Jersey Shore as a non-profit organization and opened a distribution center in the Ocean County Mall to sort and distribute clothing and food to shelters, soup kitchens and recovery centers.
