Gov. Murphy at the 2022 NJ Chamber ReNew Jersey Business Summit

The In-Person Summit will Feature a Two-Day General Session of Interactive Discussions about How to Boost New Jersey's Economy

#ReNewJersey

The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce announced that Gov. Phil Murphy will deliver the keynote remarks at its ReNew Jersey Business Summit & Expo on March 14 and 15, 2023 at Harrah’s Atlantic City. The governor’s remarks will come on the afternoon of the first day of the statewide Business Summit.

The in-person Summit will feature a two-day general session of discussions about how to boost the state’s economy. Business and government leaders will examine how to leverage the advantages of operating a business in New Jersey, and explore what key actions are necessary to make the state’s business climate more competitive and attractive.

The discussions will cover, but not be limited to, taxes and incentives; infrastructure; burgeoning industries; inflation; diversity; and the regulatory environment.

A Focus on Solutions

“The goal is to bring together subject experts from business, politics and nonprofits to discuss the advantages of doing business in New Jersey and the challenges stifling New Jersey’s economy, and propose the actions needed to shift into a strong economic recovery,” said Tom Bracken, president and CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. “We’re looking for solutions.”

The solutions will be presented to the state’s legislative leaders, who will participate on a panel discussion on Day 2 of the Summit.

Largest Business Event of the Year with an Expo and a Lot of Networking

The Summit will feature a pair of networking receptions: an evening cocktail reception on March 14 and a morning breakfast reception – featuring a panel of business reporters – on March 15; and it will include a business expo on March 14 for New Jersey businesses to showcase their products and services.

“We expect this to be the single largest business event in the state this year on a scale comparable to our Walk to Washington,” Bracken said. “There is a strong desire among business people in New Jersey to improve the state’s business climate, and to network. This event will provide a prime opportunity for both.”

When the Chamber held a Summit in Atlantic City last year, it drew more than 650 attendees.
Attendees this year will include a wide variety of business executives from large and small companies, state and local government leaders, representatives from trade groups, labor, academia, nonprofits, and the news media.
