Amirah Hussain, the N.J. Chamber’s director of government relations, is well respected in the State House for her knowledge on health care, taxation, economic development and education. As such, she is working on some of the state’s biggest issues on behalf of the N.J. Chamber and its member companies.

Amirah is also helping to spearhead the New Jersey Chamber’s Young Professionals Network.

“This group will provide young professionals with their own community,” Amirah said. “We will get together, learn from each other and discover opportunities for career growth.”

Before joining the N.J. Chamber team, Amirah was deputy chief of staff for Assemblyman Herb Conaway, where she focused on policy research and overseeing daily office operations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Rutgers University.

“It is so important to bring our young professionals together. We want to provide a space to bounce ideas off one another, make those important connections, and find people to relate to while navigating the workforce.”

Caitlin Lopez is the Operations Coordinator for the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, a business advocacy association based in Trenton that lobbies key stakeholders for legislation and policies designed to make New Jersey a desirable state to operate a business and establish good-paying jobs. 

Caitlin joined the Chamber in July 2024 and is responsible for collaborating with chamber staff on producing high quality events for its members and other key stakeholders. She also assists with critical functions related to the day-to-day running of the chamber. Previously, Caitlin worked for Church & Dwight Co., Inc. and SHI International Corp. – and she's a graduate of Rutgers University..

Caitlin loves traveling with her family and just recently spent one year living abroad with her family in Costa Rica.
