Gov. Murphy, Ciattarelli Join the Festivities Two Days after their Primary Victories
Two of the special guests attending the 24th annual N.J. Chamber Open House in Trenton on June 10 were Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy and Republican nominee for governor Jack Ciattarelli. Fresh off their primary victories, the governor (he ran unopposed) and Ciattarelli mingled with New Jersey Chamber of Commerce members, as well as dozens of state legislators, county executives and mayors. The two men will face off for governor in November.
It was Trenton's first big in-person event since the shutdown, and more than 250 business, nonprofit and government leaders were in attendance at the outdoor Open House on the grounds of the New Jersey State Museum. There was great food, drink and ample networking opportunities for everyone, including the chance to talk to the state's top elected officials. It felt like business was getting back to normal in the Capital City and beyond, as guests embraced the opportunity to meet with people that, in some cases, they had not seen in more than a year.
