The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce announced that its Young Professionals (YP) Network has established a board of directors and appointed seven young leaders to serve as its inaugural members.
The YP Network brings together the next generation of business leaders to build real connections, grow professionally, and make an impact in their communities. Through networking events and learning opportunities, the group is creating a vibrant community of young professionals who are shaping the future of business and driving positive change across New Jersey.
The board held its first meeting in Trenton on March 5, to discuss ways to expand the reach of the Young Professionals Network and elevate its profile.
The board members are:
- Kayleen Arguello, Business Development Coordinator, Control Point Associates
- Chris DeCotiis, Business Analyst, CGI
- Scottie Germain, Senior Professional, Corporate Citizenship, Fiserv
- Chris Lowicki, Community Services Specialist, NJ Sharing Network
- Fatema Raza, Partner, Withum
- Christian Vila, Traffic Engineer, HNTB
- Rob Vota, Assistant General Manager & Chief Revenue Officer, Jersey Shore BlueClaws
Spearheading the Young Professionals Network are Caitlin Lopez, the N.J. Chamber of Commerce’s events & communications coordinator, and Amirah Hussain, the N.J. Chamber’s director of government relations.
“Our new board members are quickly rising in their organizations, and they understand the importance of making connections,” Lopez said. “They are passionate about their careers, and their passion and excitement will help create top quality events.”
Hussain agreed.
"The Young professional Board's mission is to help young people advance their careers, create their own community and learn from each other,” Hussain said. “I am confident that our appointed board of directors will help guide us to success.”
The Young Professionals Network, established in 2019, is designed for business professionals and corporate leaders between the ages 21 and 39 to network, learn valuable business skills, and provide a positive impact on the business and local communities.
The group operates under the guidance of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce – and its membership is open to those working in companies that are members of the chamber. The YP Network also partners on events and volunteer activities with other young professional organizations throughout the state operated by companies and local and regional chambers of commerce.
