On their trade mission to Mexico Sept. 3 to Sept. 5, Gov. Chris Christie and his delegation plan to present to Mexican government and business leaders copies of a new coffee-table book called New Jersey: Cultivating 350 Years of Innovation and Success.
The book, released this week by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and published by Cherbo Publishing Group, tells New Jersey's story through striking pictures and descriptive text, and highlights the state's outstanding companies and organizations. The 265-page book also outlines New Jersey's visionaries, history, culture, infrastructure and, of course, The Shore.
The New Jersey Chamber provided the books to be carried by the delegation to Mexico where Gov. Christie is scheduled to meet Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, as well as tour local companies and meet with Mexican business leaders.
Copies of the previous edition of the book, released in 2008, can still be found in lobbies of countless businesses. In fact, the book appeared on Oprah Winfrey's show when she interviewed Gov. Chris Christie in 2012.
