New Jersey Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tom Bracken urged business owners this week to personally get involved in an initiative to promote pro-growth legislation that will help expand the economy and create jobs in New Jersey.
"Failure is not an option," he said during remarks to members of the MidJersey Chamber of Commerce on March 11 and members the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce on March 12. "Status quo is not an option. The more people we get to participate in this, the sooner we will move our economy forward."
The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce is promoting Chambers United, an initiative to unite the statewide Chamber with regional and local chambers to develop and promote a single economic policy agenda to be submitted to the governor and the Legislature. "Growing our economy is important to the business community, and it can cure all the fiscal problems in New Jersey," Bracken said.
"A coordinated business voice gives us a position of strength to get these issues on the table," he added. "If we stand together and business people like you stand by us at the State House as we testify on important pro-growth issues, legislators will have no choice but to listen and take action."
